Oase ProfiClear Premium XL Drum Filter – Gravity EGC

Based on the highly successful OASE ProfiClear Premium L Drum Filter technology, the new ProfiClear XL pond filter system can be used to filter ponds up to 530,000 Litres (or 100,000 Litre Koi Ponds). The automated Drum Module has been oversized to remove particles and pollutants even in highly sedimented ponds. The XL Drum module is offered in both pump fed and gravity fed guises.

The Gravity Fed XL Filter Drum features 7 inlets for connection of up to 2 x Bitron Premium UVCs, Wall Skimmers or Bottom Drains. The 2 x 180mm outlets are designed for direct connection to the XL Moving Bed Module and/or Gravity Discharge Module. The Gravity XL Drum Filter Module is supplied with intelligent filter-mounted controller for automatic cleaning of the 16 individual drum filter sieves. The filter sieves will screen out debris down to 60 microns but can be changed to optional 30 micron or 150 micron sieves depending on the level of filtration required. The ProfiClear Gravity Fed XL Drum Filter can accept flow rates from 25,000 Litres/Hour up to 66,000 Litres/Hour.

The new ProfiClear XL Gravity Discharge Module has been designed to house pumps and UV clarifiers at the final stage of the gravity fed filtration scenario whilst supplying multiple outlets to return the processed water back to the pond.

The XL Gravity Discharge Module features 9 outlets (4 x 2” BSPM Threaded and 5 x DN110) for returning the water flow with minimal restriction and allowing a choice of either flexible hose return or rigid pipe. The internals of the module are specifically designed for mounting the AquaMax Eco Titanium pumps and the new Bitron Premium UV Clarifiers.

The Oase ProfiClear XL Moving Bed Module has been designed for connection after the OASE ProfiClear XL Pump Fed Drum Filter or the XL Gravity Fed Drum Filter. The XL Moving Bed Module utilises special biological filter media in the form of innovative Pond Pads which allow the settlement of beneficial ‘friendly’ bacteria, to assist in the breakdown of pond and fish waste. The Pond Pads offer a huge biological settlement surface area and are capable of breaking down fish waste at the feeding rate of up to 150g of fish food per 10 litres of Pond Pads, every 24 hour.

The XL Moving Bed Module feature 2 x 180mm inlets (from Drum Filter exit) and 2 x 180mm outlets (for connection to the Discharge Module or an additional Moving Bed Module). The Module is fitted with a porous aeration bar which, when connected to a suitable Air Pump, will provide oxygen enrichment and movement to increase aerobic bacterial growth on the pond pads.

In the koi pond, every centimetre of visibility depth counts. ProfiClear Premium Fleece Filters are therefore equipped with the triple action combination of microfine depth filtration, rich filter biology and Clear Wave blocks. The smart filter has an interface to the OASE Control System for monitoring the water temperature and fleece consumption. Thanks to its compact design, it is suitable as a new filter or as a retrofit filter in existing systems. ProfiClear Premium Fleece is compatible with the modules of the ProfiClear L series. Suitable for koi ponds with a capacity of 26,000 to 38,000 or swimming ponds with a capacity of 50,000 to 75,000 l.
