Refresh Powder “The Magic White Soil” is a clay mineral from the Yasawagi district in Akita prefecture, Japan. Refresh Powder is a mineral composed of Montmorillonite in it’s core and sixteen other necessary minerals such as silicic acid, aluminium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and iron etc surrounding the core. Collectively, these effective minerals keep the water clean and further help to supply good nutrition, dissolving slowly into the water through an ion exchange system and in the same process lowering the levels of less welcome compounds also dissolving into the water, such as decaying organic materials thus minimising the spread of bacterial diseases.

Refresh Powder is pure natural Montmorillonite and this white clay belongs to a useful group of minerals. If it is mixed with other natural or artificial products certain qualities of the mineral are lost as the balance has now been disturbed. When Koi are bred or raised in waters containing this natural product, the clarity of colours and quality of skin is unsurpassed. Pond Zinger-Flocculant/Phosphate Remover

The Pond Zinger is designed to work in flowing conditions.  As water moves over and around the Zinger, it slowly dissolves, releasing its components into the water column causing excess inanimate nutrients, such as phosphorous, to bind together.  As they bind together, the particulate gets heavier and heavier and then settles to the bottom of the pond or is filtered out.

It is important to note that Pond Zingers do not remove all the inanimate nutrients, just enough to create a healthy ecosystem.  Our pond products typically see a 75-90% reduction of phosphorus. All APS products are safe for fish; no need to monitor pH.

Dosage:

The Pond Zinger is designed to treat small backyard ponds.  The Pond Zinger treats 500-12,000 gallons of water.

Installation:

Propolis Food Supplement

Propolis in liquid form is added to koi food and 250ml will treat up to 25kg.  Great for treating wounds round the mouth (including inside!) and the eyes of your koi, where other treatments would be dangerous to use.  Can even be used as a bath.  Sticks to wet mucus far better than anything available today and that’s a fact.  The research has shown that Propolis Food Supplement is effective against a range of bacteria, fungi and even viral infection, and it is known that Propolis stimulates the formation of antibodies to the immune system and is rich in vitamin A, B complex, E and flavenoids. (Foods containing flavenoids have been shown to reduce cell damage and disease in Humans)

Our Propolis is sold in its raw form, and is NOT diluted with unnecessary solvent, (with the exception of the spray form) so is very effective as a topical treatment and a little goes a long way. Please note that the spray variant is diluted in order to get it to atomise properly – in this form it is an ideal topical treatment where wounds have just started to heal, and helps avoid damage to new tissue formation.

For your koi use Propolis:

As a topical treatment for ulcers, sores, raised scales, especially useful round the mouth, eyes and gill area where the use of other medications would be inappropriate and even dangerous.

As a food additive, mix one teaspoon full of propolis with approx 2 – 3 handfulls of food and a little warmed water in a suitable container. Leave to stand for 15 minutes or so or until the food has absorbed all the liquid and feed to your koi. Use all food treated in this way within 48 hours.

Propolis will still work at lower temperatures, but for best results use at temperatures in excess of 13 deg C.
