The Water Cleanser can best be described as a wax-like block to grow bacteria and microbes. If you put it under a strong microscope you will see millions of capillary openings that serve as a home for beneficial bacteria and microbes that provide a healthy water quality. The Water Cleanser also contains all the necessary trace elements for Archaea microbes and Bacillus bacteria.

How does the Water Cleanser work?
Useful bacteria and microbes naturally remove organic waste (uneaten feed, dead plant remains, dead algae, fish excrement, etc.). Influences from outside such as chemicals and fertilizers can disrupt the natural cycle and weaken the existing beneficial bacteria. The Water Cleanser provides a protected habitat with all necessary trace elements so that microbes can multiply optimally. As soon as the microbes have recovered, they will soon break down organic waste.
Archaea microbes prefer to break down organic waste than oil but need hydrocarbon as a source of energy and to multiply. Archaea microbes are present in all forms of water, but are not active until they have a hydrocarbon source. The Water Cleanser is a hydrocarbon catalyst that provides the ideal conditions for these Archaea microbes.

The Water Cleanser has been tested for more than 12 years and has a positive effect on all aquatic life. In addition, the Water Cleanser can also be used in swimming pools, which means fewer chemicals can be used.

JPD mud booster clay is a very high quality clay which contains over 85% of pure Montmorillonite, considerably higher than other leading brands. How to use JPD mud booster clay ? 

Firstly, being a natural product this clay is impossible to overdose. If dosing to the pond directly, it is advised to turn the U.V. off for 24 hours.

Dosage: 

Assuming a water change of 10% per week.

Use 10 grams to every 1000 litres of pond water. e.g. For a 5000 litre pond, add 50 grams of clay.

Dose every 2 to 4 weeks. If you change more water, then increase the dose frequency.

Add to a clean bucket/container of pond water, stir, and distribute around the pond.

Sprinkle or mix the JPD mud booster clay into your Koi food and treats.

Initially the Koi may turn away from the food, but with a bit of patience they’ll familiarise themselves to the new taste.

Active Mix Bio – Biological harmony in your pond

Active Mix Bio is a combination of substances including photosynthetic and lactic acid bacteria, yeasts and trace elements. This combination has a positive impact on the natural balance and biological life resulting in a perfect equilibrium. It also strongly promotes the biological conversion of ammonia and nitrites into nitrates. The fact that this mix is already in an activated state means it has a direct and rapid effect on your pond.

Photosynthetic bacteria:

Produce substances that promote the growth of micro-organisms, especially heterotrophic bacteria. During conversion they produce valuable substances from organic waste and harmful matter in the water. Photosynthetic bacteria also compete with algae for nutrients and sunlight. In the case of algae, light is absorbed by chlorophyll, just like with regular plants. However, with photosynthetic bacteria, photosynthesis takes place directly in the cell. Pond Logs, Mini Pond Logs, and Pond Zingers are designed to work in flowing conditions.  As water moves over and around the log, it slowly dissolves, releasing its components into the water column causing excess inanimate nutrients, such as phosphorous, to bind together.  As they bind together, the particulate gets heavier and heavier and then settles to the bottom of the pond or is filtered out.

Propolis in liquid form is added to koi food and 250ml will treat up to 25kg.  Great for treating wounds round the mouth (including inside!) and the eyes of your koi, where other treatments would be dangerous to use.  Can even be used as a bath.  Sticks to wet mucus far better than anything available today and that’s a fact.  The research has shown that Propolis Food Supplement is effective against a range of bacteria, fungi and even viral infection, and it is known that Propolis stimulates the formation of antibodies to the immune system and is rich in vitamin A, B complex, E and flavenoids. (Foods containing flavenoids have been shown to reduce cell damage and disease in Humans)

Our Propolis is sold in its raw form, and is NOT diluted with unnecessary solvent, (with the exception of the spray form) so is very effective as a topical treatment and a little goes a long way. Please note that the spray variant is diluted in order to get it to atomise properly – in this form it is an ideal topical treatment where wounds have just started to heal, and helps avoid damage to new tissue formation.

For your koi use Propolis:

As a topical treatment for ulcers, sores, raised scales, especially useful round the mouth, eyes and gill area where the use of other medications would be inappropriate and even dangerous.

As a food additive, mix one teaspoon full of propolis with approx 2 – 3 handfulls of food and a little warmed water in a suitable container. Leave to stand for 15 minutes or so or until the food has absorbed all the liquid and feed to your koi. Use all food treated in this way within 48 hours.

Propolis will still work at lower temperatures, but for best results use at temperatures in excess of 13 deg C.

Propolis is available in 500ml bottles and a 60ml spray.
