The Oase UV Replacement Bulbs are characterized by there high quality. Since the UVC clarifier is mostly in constant use, the effect can wear off after approx. 8000 hours. It is therefore recommended that the lamps be replaced at regular intervals. It is best to think about this in spring so that your clarifier is ready for the whole pond season. For those Koi and pond enthusiasts who are not as careful at they might be, we do also sell the spare Yamitsu Quartz Sleeves in the most standard sizes.
The Yamitsu Quartz Sleeve insulates the lamp from the water, allowing the lamp to operate at the optimum performance.
The ultraviolet lamp will remain independent of the flow of water. Yamitsu Quartz Sleeves are of open-ended construction and are made from pure fused quartz.
Quartz is extremely transparent over a wide spectral range, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and quartz is resistant to scratching and thermal shock. Fused quartz is made from crushing and melting natural materials. The purity of quartz is paramount to the efficiency of the lamp and sleeve.

Submersible UV-C lamps have a big advantage compared to conventional UV-C units: no pressure loss.
Benefits
- These lamps can be used in filter tanks so the water can pass without any resistance/ pressure loss.
- The plastic end of the lamp has a 32mm diameter so you can use 32mm pipe clips to mount the lamp in a tank.
- A special tank connector is available for direct installation in i.e. filters.

This is a great simple way to install your Amalgam Submersible UVC simply drill a 48mm hole in the desired location, insert the male part of the connector from the outside with the provided rubber seal. then tread the nut on from the inside. Then slide the Quartz tube though the connector from the outside with the O-ring provided with the uvc. insert the bulb, plug in the bulb connector and tighten the locking nut. Read more

The Evo UV Replacement Bulbs are available for the whole range of the Evolution Aquas pond UV clarifiers. The T8 Bulbs are available in 5 different wattages with the 110w model requiring 2x 55w Bulbs.
