When A pond’s ecosystem is mature and balanced, the water is usually clear and healthy for aquatic life. This maturation process is a function of the microbiological and chemical properties of the water. Microbe-Lift Barley Straw Liquid and Dry formulations help to mature the pond with natural chemicals just as a pure mountain stream matures through the years by the introduction of natural breakdown products from trees, plants etc. These natural breakdown products often include Humic and Fulvic acids that have a natural ability to sequester, or tie up, inorganic compounds. So their concentrations in the pond don’t get to the levels that would unbalance the ponds ecosystem. These substances can also lead to natural purification of the pond through a slow release of Hydrogen peroxide as they react with sunlight. The Hydrogen peroxide is produced at levels that help purify the water while not having any adverse effects on desirable aquatic life. The sequestering, in conjunction with microbiological cycling, provides a stable natural ecosystem in your pond.

How are shipping works

We have several different ways of shipping available on our website for you to select when you go through to checkout

 

1, We use Evri for our Economy service this service can take between 2 and 5 day This service starts from £4.90

This is because Evri collect from us on a Monday and Thursday only  which will be a Tuesday and Friday delivery to you

 

2, We use DPD for our premium/standard service which is next working day delivery This service prices start from £7.95

This is collected from us Monday through to Friday This is NOT a Guaranteed next day delivery service however it is a overnight service and is quite often delivered to you the next day, excluding remote areas

 

3, We use Dx Freight for our standard large service for things like Pipe lengths and larger items This service is £19.95

This is on a next working day delivery and is Monday through to Friday.

 

4, We use APC for our Fish delivery service This service is £35

This is an overnight service  Koi will be scheduled to arrive between 8.00am – 12:00 midday.

You also  MUST be in to sign for the koi.

Delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday & now Fridays and will always be pre arranged with you

 

5, Some larger items and bespoke items are dropped shipped this is to speed up delivery

6, We also ship from our supplier from warehouse again this is to speed up delivery

100 ml per 1250 litres of pond water. The first application should be 100 ml per 1250 litres of pond water, then repeat this dosage once a week for the next four weeks. Following this initial treatment a ‘maintenance dosage should be applied at the recommended rates as and when necessary.

Dosage:

Add 30ml of Microbe-Lift Ammonia Remover to 600 litres of water to decrease the level of ammonia with 1.25 mg/litre. Treat for the total ammonia level at one time. If needed, the dosage may be repeated safely. If toxic levels of ammonia persist, a partial water change is recommended. Over feeding, poor pond husbandry, overstocking and immature filters are just a few causes of ammonia problems within ponds.
