NT Labs KH Buffer Up is recommended when there is a need to increase the carbonate hardness (KH) of pond water. Pond fish require a safe and stable pH to maintain optimal health. Over time, as pond water ages and fish waste along with other organic matter accumulates, it can deplete the carbonate hardness (KH) responsible for providing a safe and stable pH. Insufficient KH levels can lead to unstable water quality, a sudden drop in pH, and potential illness in fish.

Dosage Rates:

• 1.5kg treats 10200 litres (2250 gallons)
• 5kg treats 34000 litres (7500 gallons)
• 20kg treats 136,000 (30000 gallons)

How to Use:

   • Wash hands thoroughly after handling fish and the product.
4. KH Monitoring:
   • Use NT Labs Hardness Test Kit to measure the KH of the pond water.
5. Optimal KH Level:
   • Maintain the KH above 6 °dH for optimal water quality.
6. Tap Water Adjustment:
   • KH – Buffer Up can be used to supplement carbonate hardness in cases where tap water is naturally low in hardness minerals.
