Aqua Source Kano Shower Media will help maintain excellent water quality and also maintain the eco balance in your pond. Ideal for all Shower type filters. Made from the finest quartz and minerals, far infrared is heated up to 1800C to break up the internal bonds and create an incredibly porous surface, which encourages good bacteria to colonise in the huge protected surface area. The Kano Media emits FAR infrared rays that break the bonds of the neighbouring water molecules thereby allowing more oxygen to be dissolved in the water. Larger organic solids are dissolved quicker than conventional media. Kano Shower Media does not degrade and is pH neutral. Read more

NT Labs Zeolite 5kg
NT LABS Zeolite 5kg
NT Labs Zeolite is commonly used in pond filtration systems to help absorb and remove ammonia and other nitrogenous compounds. Recharging the zeolite helps maintain its effectiveness over time. For best results, use NT Labs Zeolite throughout the year and recharge it regularly. Consider recharging and topping up when water quality begins to decline. Read more
How to use:
- Place the zeolite into the filter bag provided and rinse it under the tap.
- Position the zeolite in the filter in an area with a strong flow of water.
- Test your water quality using NT Labs Test Kits regularly.
- Recharge the zeolite in spring and every 6 weeks unless poor water quality is detected. When recharging, replace 50% of the zeolite.
- To recharge, prepare a salt solution (4 tablespoons per gallon of water) and soak the zeolite chunks for 24 hours.

Pumice stone Filter Media is now being used extensively as an alternative to traditional koi pond filter media in trickle filters and trickle towers .Pumice stone Filter Media is inert and rapidly colonises with beneficial bacteria which help cleanse the pollutants. It is highly porous making it the ideal media for biological filters of all kinds. Efficient biological filtration depends on the media of choice having an adequate specific surface area (SSA), adequate voiding and water retention time. Pumice Stone Filter media has a massive surface area and is therefore ideal in this application. It can be used as a direct replacement to other ceramic based filter media. Read more

Alfagrog is a volcanic rock, proven to be a successful filter media as it ideal for the colonization of beneficial bacteria. The porous composition of this media allows the bacteria to multiply in abundance over a short period of time. The sharp edges of this natural rock require careful handling, and it is best situated in the last chamber of your filter, as you would not want your Koi rubbing against it!
