The BioTec Premium 80000 Filter Cartridge Set is the heart of a filter. 2x violet filter sponges included in the set have rather coarse filtration properties. The higher flow speed is particularly beneficial for the oxygen-loving filter bacteria. These microorganisms ensure that the degradation products produced in the pond are converted into harmless substances (nitrification). This also applies in particular to the two blue filter sponges included. The two red filter sponges, on the other hand, play to their strengths with fine filtration properties and thus remove the smallest dirt particle residues from the water at a slow flow speed. The OASE replacement sponge set for FiltoClear 31000 pressure filters is optimally matched to these filters. The sponges are extremely resilient and dimensionally stable. This is particularly important for sponges that are squeezed and released during the cleaning process in the filter using cleaning handles. The optimally selected pore size ensures a constant and even flow of the water to be cleaned. For lasting results it is recommended to replace the sponges at the beginning of the pond season in March/April. After replacing the filter sponges, it is advisable to use OASE filter starter preparations to accelerate the regeneration of the pond biology in the filter. The Oase Filtoclear Quartz Sleeve insulates the lamp from the water, allowing the lamp to operate at the optimum performance. The ultraviolet lamp will remain independent of the flow of water. Quartz is extremely transparent over a wide spectral range, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and quartz is resistant to scratching and thermal shock. The Oase Filtoclear Replacement Bulbs are characterized by there high quality. The Oase Filtoclear Replacement Bulbs are a PLL bulb with 4 Pins and are available for the 9 different types of Filtoclear. Since the UVC clarifier is mostly in constant use, the effect can wear off after approx. 8000 hours. It is therefore recommended that the lamps be replaced at regular intervals. It is best to think about this in spring so that your clarifier is ready for the whole pond season. Read more
