ABS Slide Valves

ABS Slide Valves are mainly used for on/off waste valves in filters and swimming pools to separate the filter from pond, to completely shut off flow when required. These ABS Slide Valves are very handy for when you are short of space and cannot fit a ball valve. These are available in two sizes 2″ and 1.5″.

There are four main types of pipe work used on koi ponds:
  • Metric Pressure Pipe
  • Imperial Pressure Pipe
  • Black waste Pipe
  • ABS Pipe

The use of anything other than pressure pipe and fittings for both gravity and pressure lines is risky, the last thing you want is your bottom drain line leaking after all your hard work building your pond and is only a cost saving exercise, The added security and peace of mind that Pressure Pipe brings is well worth the extra cost. ABS Pipe Plain Hose tails should be used in conjunction with ABS Pipework. These ABS Pipe Plain Hose tails are 1.5″ male to hose tail push on connection for 1.5″ Hose size. These ABS Pipe Female Composite Unions are ideal for connecting to all types of heat exchangers as the brass end is designed to allow for the expansion and contraction which comes from the temperatures generated by heat exchangers. ABS Full Flow Valve

The ABS Full Flow Valve is a universal valve so it will take both 1.5″ and 2″ ABS Pipework. For use on the 1.5″ ABS you can fit it inside the full flow valve or for 2″ you simply fit the pipe over the outside of the full flow valve. The handle is also a quick indication of the valves position, as there is a closed indicator arrow on the handle. This valve can be opened or closed in very small amounts simply by pressing down on the back on the handle and rotating to your required position.
