Made from the finest quartz and minerals, far infrared is heated up to 1800C to break up the internal bonds and create an incredibly porous surface, which encourages good bacteria to colonise in the huge protected surface area. The Kano Media emits FAR infrared rays that break the bonds of the neighbouring water molecules thereby allowing more oxygen to be dissolved in the water. Kano Shower Media also provides a natural living environment for the cultivation of nitrifying bacteria, and also provides the necessary organic minerals for fish growth.

Kano Shower Media works as a ‘cleaner’ in the water ecosystem. It can improve the water quality efficiently and has
outstanding characteristics in relation to water flow, water pH improvement, oxygen content stabilization etc. All these can
successfully restore the water to its original crystal clear state. It also provides a favourable source for beneficial bacteria and for the reproductive growth of the aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria, which are the two main necessary bacteria for the water quality
purification of aquaculture.

How are shipping works

We have several different ways of shipping available on our website for you to select when you go through to checkout

 

1, We use Evri for our Economy service this service can take between 2 and 5 day This service starts from £4.90

This is because Evri collect from us on a Monday and Thursday only  which will be a Tuesday and Friday delivery to you

 

2, We use DPD for our premium/standard service which is next working day delivery This service prices start from £7.95

This is collected from us Monday through to Friday This is NOT a Guaranteed next day delivery service however it is a overnight service and is quite often delivered to you the next day, excluding remote areas

 

3, We use Dx Freight for our standard large service for things like Pipe lengths and larger items This service is £19.95

This is on a next working day delivery and is Monday through to Friday.

 

4, We use APC for our Fish delivery service This service is £35

This is an overnight service  Koi will be scheduled to arrive between 8.00am – 12:00 midday.

You also  MUST be in to sign for the koi.

Delivery days are Wednesday, Thursday & now Fridays and will always be pre arranged with you

 

5, Some larger items and bespoke items are dropped shipped this is to speed up delivery

6, We also ship from our supplier from warehouse again this is to speed up delivery

 

7, We also offer Free Delivery on orders over £100  excluding lengths of pipes and live fish

Lengths of pipe are sent with DX and have a price of £19.95

Live fish are sent with APC and have a price of £35.00

 

All our shipping company’s do give us tracking information that you should receive by email this includes any orders we drop ship.

Vortex chambers are good for settling out heavy waste but much less efficient with the lightweight particles. Have you noticed that even though you get a lot of waste in the bottom of your vortex, you still find that the subsequent chambers get very dirty too. This is the very fine particles that do not have time to settle in the vortex and so they get drawn through the transfer port into the next chamber. First, they physically trap the large particles that cannot pass through the close weave of the interlocking filaments.
