Colombo Nitrate Pond Test Kit
Colombo Nitrate Pond Test Kit (NO3), is produced from the breakdown of nitrite in the filter.
Nitrate is relatively harmless to freshwater fish, but its presence can indicate a deterioration in the aquarium environment, and high nitrate will encourage algal growth.
The only way to know what the nitrate level is, is by testing it with a Nitrate test kit.

Colombo Nitrite Pond Test Kit
Nitrite (NO2) is produced from the breakdown of ammonia in the filter. Nitrite is highly toxic to fish, but is usually removed from the water by the bacteria which live inside the filter. However, in new ponds and aquariums, or if the filter bacteria are damaged, the nitrite level may become toxic. The only way to know what the nitrite level is, is by testing the water with a Nitrite pond test kit

Colombo Ammonia Pond Test Kit
Ammonia (NH3) is excreted by fish directly into the water, and is also released from the breakdown of solid waste and uneaten food. Ammonia is highly toxic to fish, but is usually removed from the water by the bacteria which live inside the filter.
The only way to know what the ammonia level is, is by testing the water with an Ammonia test kit. Regular testing, especially in new ponds, will prevent damage caused by ammonia poisoning.

NT Labs Nitrate Test Kit
Nitrate is produced by the beneficial bacteria in the pond and filters as they break down the fish’s toxic waste products (Ammonia and Nitrite). Nitrate is not toxic to pond fish.
This process forms the biological filtration system and is called the Nitrogen Cycle. Nitrate itself is relatively non-toxic, and will not cause troubles at low concentrations. However Nitrate can cause problems as the level rises.
Monitor the level of nitrate in your pond using a NT Labs Nitrate Test Kit on a regular basis. When the level becomes too high for your particular system perform a partial water change to lower the nitrate concentration.

Koi Medic Digital Salinity
The Koi Medic Digital Salinity Tester is the ideal way to test the salinity levels in your Koi pond. This technically advanced device gives fast and accurate results every time. It is very easy to use, simply dip the sensor into the water and read the result.
Using the Salinity Tester each time you add salt to the water will ensure that the water levels have just the right level of salt. It’s important to ensure that the salinity levels are optimised to ensure good fish health and to eliminate parasites in the water.
The Tester uses 4 x 1.5v batteries and has over 150 hours of life. It conserves energy too, thanks to an automatic shut off after 15 minutes.
Please note:
It is strongly advised that you do not add salt directly into the water in large amounts. This may burn the koi. Also check the salinity levels of the water regularly as it can be affected by wet or dry weather conditions.
