Effect of GH/KH+ contains a broad range of minerals and as a result raises the general hardness (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH). It is important to maintain these values at the right levels (GH between 8° and 12°; KH between 6° and 11°) in order to prevent acidification of the water. Instructions for Optimal Use:

  • Dissolve 10 to 20 grams weekly per 1000 litres of pond water
  • First mix with a limited amount of water in a bucket, then spread evenly along the edges of the pond
  • The water will initially become cloudy but will clear within 24 hours, depending on the filtration and amount of organic material in the pond
  • Clay 86 can also be added directly to feed (1 – 5%) to improve digestion and nutrient absorption.
