The Spindrifter aerated bottom drain is known worldwide for its quality and design. This Spindrifter aerated bottom drain completely replaces the “Standard Bottom Drain.” The most noticeable feature of the Spindrifter bottom drain is the extra 1 inch DIA Pressure pipe connection in the sump of the drain. This allows the air supply hose to enter the sump independent of the water outlet pipe, thus eliminating the possibility of restriction to the water flow and somewhere else for blanket weed to attach. You can choose from either 1, 2 or 3 lengths of the required pipework to enable you to achieve most drainage Requirements. The Economy Bottom Drains will help reduce any build-up of waste or debris on the base of your pond, keeping it and your fish in the best possible condition. Suitable for many pond types including those made of Fiberglass, with a rubber liner and concrete ponds.

All Koi ponds should be fitted with bottom drains, and we strongly recommend this. These economy bottom drains are well made and are suited for use with 110mm or 50mm waste pipe. We cannot express the importance of installing a bottom drain when planning and building your pond and these drains provide a cost effective way of doing this. Read more
