Aqua Balance Drum Friendly Clay
Aqua Source Drum Friendly Clay is a Montmorillonite Clay mixture that contains over 65 different minerals, and will help keep your water and koi in optimum condition.
It is especially beneficial for use with Drum filters, as the drum will not rinse excessively or remove the Clay. However, it is perfect for use in any type of filter.

How to Dose
For a weekly dose add 31g per 220 gallons ( 1,000 ltrs). Mix the dosage in a bucket of pond water, stir thoroughly, leave for a few
minutes, then stir again and distribute evenly across the pond.
To minimize clouding of the water, a daily dose of 4g per 220 gallons ( 1,000 ltrs) will suffice. Best added in the evening
Aqua Source Drum Friendly Clay is harmless to humans and animals, however, avoid contact with eyes and wash hands after use.

Local villagers who live in this district used this clay personally as a herbal medicine to heal wounds, fight off diarrhoea, toothache and etc. The clay became known as marvellous soil or magic white soil. The efficacy of this white soil is really quite remarkable. Refresh Powder is a wonderful gift from Mother Nature, coming directly from the soil and virtually impossible to reproduce artificially.
It has been proven over the ages, that by dissolving Refresh Powder into the water, the same high quality of life can be reproduced, remaining consistent for a very long time for the benefit of many creatures which inhabit the waters.
Exactly, what is Refresh Powder
Refresh Powder is a mineral composed of Montmorillonite in it’s core and sixteen other necessary minerals such as silicic acid, aluminium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and iron etc surrounding the core. Collectively, these effective minerals keep the water clean and further help to supply good nutrition, dissolving slowly into the water through an ion exchange system and in the same process lowering the levels of less welcome compounds also dissolving into the water, such as decaying organic materials thus minimising the spread of bacterial diseases.
Refresh Powder is pure natural Montmorillonite and this white clay belongs to a useful group of minerals. If it is mixed with other natural or artificial products certain qualities of the mineral are lost as the balance has now been disturbed. When Koi are bred or raised in waters containing this natural product, the clarity of colours and quality of skin is unsurpassed. When Koi are deprived of this source in lakes lacking in Montmorillonite or man made concrete ponds, colours quickly deteriorate.
Some studies of lakes containing natural clay bottoms clearly reveal that colour and skin quality is more stabilised and defined in such circumstances. This clearly adds weight to the fact that the best ponds usually arise from those with clay bottoms. However, when that clay is of the Montmorillonite source then the visible results from the fish are outstanding. Other clay and stone minerals cannot reproduce the same qualities to that of Refresh Powder natural clay . . . no matter what you are told.

The Water Cleanser
The Water Cleanser can best be described as a wax-like block to grow bacteria and microbes. If you put it under a strong microscope you will see millions of capillary openings that serve as a home for beneficial bacteria and microbes that provide a healthy water quality. The Water Cleanser also contains all the necessary trace elements for Archaea microbes and Bacillus bacteria.
How does the Water Cleanser work?
Useful bacteria and microbes naturally remove organic waste (uneaten feed, dead plant remains, dead algae, fish excrement, etc.). Influences from outside such as chemicals and fertilizers can disrupt the natural cycle and weaken the existing beneficial bacteria. The Water Cleanser provides a protected habitat with all necessary trace elements so that microbes can multiply optimally. As soon as the microbes have recovered, they will soon break down organic waste.
Archaea microbes prefer to break down organic waste than oil but need hydrocarbon as a source of energy and to multiply. Propolis Food Supplement
Propolis in liquid form is added to koi food and 250ml will treat up to 25kg. Great for treating wounds round the mouth (including inside!) and the eyes of your koi, where other treatments would be dangerous to use. Can even be used as a bath. Sticks to wet mucus far better than anything available today and that’s a fact. The research has shown that Propolis Food Supplement is effective against a range of bacteria, fungi and even viral infection, and it is known that Propolis stimulates the formation of antibodies to the immune system and is rich in vitamin A, B complex, E and flavenoids. (Foods containing flavenoids have been shown to reduce cell damage and disease in Humans)
Our Propolis is sold in its raw form, and is NOT diluted with unnecessary solvent, (with the exception of the spray form) so is very effective as a topical treatment and a little goes a long way. Please note that the spray variant is diluted in order to get it to atomise properly – in this form it is an ideal topical treatment where wounds have just started to heal, and helps avoid damage to new tissue formation.
For your koi use Propolis:
As a topical treatment for ulcers, sores, raised scales, especially useful round the mouth, eyes and gill area where the use of other medications would be inappropriate and even dangerous.
As a food additive, mix one teaspoon full of propolis with approx 2 – 3 handfulls of food and a little warmed water in a suitable container. Leave to stand for 15 minutes or so or until the food has absorbed all the liquid and feed to your koi. Use all food treated in this way within 48 hours.
Propolis will still work at lower temperatures, but for best results use at temperatures in excess of 13 deg C.
Propolis is available in 500ml bottles and a 60ml spray.
Broste PDV Pond Salt 25kg
Salt has been used by koi keepers for years either as a bath treatment or in the pond itself. Every serious Koi keeper should have a bag or two of salt to hand for use when needed.
Salt has many advantages and it is widely accepted that a dose rate of a ½ oz per gallon is recommended for reducing stress and aiding in the healing of knocks and bumps in Koi and other pond fish.
Pond Zinger-Flocculant/Phosphate Remover
The Pond Zinger is designed to work in flowing conditions. As water moves over and around the Zinger, it slowly dissolves, releasing its components into the water column causing excess inanimate nutrients, such as phosphorous, to bind together. As they bind together, the particulate gets heavier and heavier and then settles to the bottom of the pond or is filtered out.
It is important to note that Pond Zingers do not remove all the inanimate nutrients, just enough to create a healthy ecosystem. Our pond products typically see a 75-90% reduction of phosphorus. All APS products are safe for fish; no need to monitor pH.
Dosage:
The Pond Zinger is designed to treat small backyard ponds. The Pond Zinger treats 500-12,000 gallons of water.
Installation:
APS Pond Zingers can be installed above an aerator, under a floating fountain, on the steps of a waterfall or with any circulation mechanism. The water must be moving over and around the Pond Zinger for them to work.
JPD mud booster clay
JPD mud booster clay is a very high quality clay which contains over 85% of pure Montmorillonite, considerably higher than other leading brands. Not only does it have such a high purity level, this clay is mined in Japan. One of only a few clays on the Koi market that originates from the home of Koi. The clay is mined in the Yasawagi Mountains, Akita district of Japan which is also home to the famous “Refresh Powder” clay also known as the white magic powder.
JPD mud booster clay consists of 67 minerals that includes 16 essential minerals such as silicic acid, aluminium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron and more. The unique structure is made up of crystal layers that are a nanometer thick. As a result, there is a huge surface area of 750 m2 per gram. This surface area allows great absorption of toxins, and binding of organic substances. As these substances are absorbed and flocculated by the clay, the filter is far more efficient at removing these substances from the water. The powder is very fine, making it extremely easy to dissolve. Once fully dissolved in the pond, you’ll achieve crystal clear water that looks bright and alive.
Firstly, being a natural product this clay is impossible to overdose. If dosing to the pond directly, it is advised to turn the U.V. off for 24 hours.
Assuming a water change of 10% per week.
Use 10 grams to every 1000 litres of pond water. e.g. For a 5000 litre pond, add 50 grams of clay.
Dose every 2 to 4 weeks. If you change more water, then increase the dose frequency.
Add to a clean bucket/container of pond water, stir, and distribute around the pond.

Sprinkle or mix the JPD mud booster clay into your Koi food and treats.
Initially the Koi may turn away from the food, but with a bit of patience they’ll familiarise themselves to the new taste.
