Aqua Source Kano Shower Media
Aqua Source Kano Shower Media will help maintain excellent water quality and also maintain the eco balance in your pond. Ideal for all Shower type filters. Made from the finest quartz and minerals, far infrared is heated up to 1800C to break up the internal bonds and create an incredibly porous surface, which encourages good bacteria to colonise in the huge protected surface area. The Kano Media emits FAR infrared rays that break the bonds of the neighbouring water molecules thereby allowing more oxygen to be dissolved in the water. Larger organic solids are dissolved quicker than conventional media. Kano Shower Media does not degrade and is pH neutral. Read more
A high flow is recommended for maximum performance.

Oyster Shells
Oyster Shells – the sure way to always keep KH and pH values under control. Oyster shells have an exceptionally stabilising effect on the KH value and consequently indirectly on the pH value. The KH value provides an indication of the water’s carbonate hardness. A pond’s KH value generally is not measured regularly enough. Only when there are problems, and therefore too late, are there any interventions by adding remedies, such as KH+ powder. However, KH+ powder has a number of drawbacks: Read more
Shell size: Generally between 5-7.5cm in length. The number of shells can vary but as a working guide 1kg is likely to contain approximately 40 to 50 shell pieces.

Japanese Matting
Japanese matting is a preferred option for koi ponds due to its ease of customization for filter systems and its durable texture, ensuring it stays securely in place during maintenance. With its intricate weave, Japanese matting provides an ideal environment for beneficial bacteria to thrive. These bacteria are essential for breaking down harmful waste in the water, making Japanese matting an excellent choice for filtration media. Japanese Matting, probably one of the best of all the filtration media which is available in the UK today. Japanese Matting is extremely inert and easy to service, Japanese Matting is available in sheet form and can be cut to the desired sizes to fit your filter chamber by using an Angle Grinder or better still an ordinary Circular Saw but be careful and wear protective glasses and watch those fingers. Bacteria Home Media
Bacteria Home Media is a high-quality filter medium that is made from mineral rock. This porous rock is baked at a very high temperature. It is ideally suited for a bakki shower, but can also be used in other filters. The microscopic pores immediately ensure a rapid growth of high concentrations of bacteria, which greatly improves the water quality. The bacteria filter harmful substances such as nitrate, nitrite and ammonia from the water. Read more

NT LABS Zeolite 5kg
NT Labs Zeolite is commonly used in pond filtration systems to help absorb and remove ammonia and other nitrogenous compounds. Recharging the zeolite helps maintain its effectiveness over time. For best results, use NT Labs Zeolite throughout the year and recharge it regularly. Consider recharging and topping up when water quality begins to decline. Read more

K+ Sinking Filter Media
K+ Sinking Filter Media is designed and manufactured in the UK by Evolution Aqua. This advanced media, with its innovative design, and class leading surface area provides enhanced biological and mechanical filtration. As Evolution Aqua extrude K+ Media, Minerals and Enzymes are added to the raw material. The result of this process, unique to Evolution Aqua, is a filtration media that not only out performs most of it’s competitors due to its large protected surface area, but also answers the problem of how to speed up the time taken to mature your filter. Kusuri Lithaqua
Kusuri Lithaqua is a natural calcified seaweed. A pH buffer that can last a number of years. Lithaqua is a marine mineral sometimes referred to as coral, however it is calcified seaweed, high in trace elements and carbonates. Ideal for use in tanks and filter bays. Average particule size is 2-4mm. Modern filters contain many varied plastic media. These provide good support for bacteria, but Lithaqua goes one stage further. Not only do beneficial bacteria draw nutrients from the media, the media being of porous construction has a huge surface area up to 20 times greater than most plastic media. However the main advantage of Lithaqua is the high level of Carbonates which will improve carbonate alkalinity in soft water. It neutralizes low acid pH and reduces pH swings. It will keep the pH above 7, negating the use of quick fix short term pH buffers. Read more
Dosage:
After placing Kusuri Lithaqua in to the Net Sack, Kusuri advise rinsing the Net Sack with contents in a bucket of pond water to avoid damaging ball valve or slide valve rubber seals.
