Propolis in liquid form is added to koi food and 250ml will treat up to 25kg.  Great for treating wounds round the mouth (including inside!) and the eyes of your koi, where other treatments would be dangerous to use.  Can even be used as a bath.  Sticks to wet mucus far better than anything available today and that’s a fact.  The research has shown that Propolis Food Supplement is effective against a range of bacteria, fungi and even viral infection, and it is known that Propolis stimulates the formation of antibodies to the immune system and is rich in vitamin A, B complex, E and flavenoids. (Foods containing flavenoids have been shown to reduce cell damage and disease in Humans)

Our Propolis is sold in its raw form, and is NOT diluted with unnecessary solvent, (with the exception of the spray form) so is very effective as a topical treatment and a little goes a long way. Please note that the spray variant is diluted in order to get it to atomise properly – in this form it is an ideal topical treatment where wounds have just started to heal, and helps avoid damage to new tissue formation.

For your koi use Propolis:

As a topical treatment for ulcers, sores, raised scales, especially useful round the mouth, eyes and gill area where the use of other medications would be inappropriate and even dangerous.

As a food additive, mix one teaspoon full of propolis with approx 2 – 3 handfulls of food and a little warmed water in a suitable container. Leave to stand for 15 minutes or so or until the food has absorbed all the liquid and feed to your koi. Use all food treated in this way within 48 hours.

Propolis will still work at lower temperatures, but for best results use at temperatures in excess of 13 deg C.

Propolis is available in 500ml bottles and a 60ml spray.
