Based on the highly successful OASE ProfiClear Premium L Drum Filter technology, the new ProfiClear XL pond filter system can be used to filter ponds up to 530,000 Litres (or 100,000 Litre Koi Ponds). The automated Drum Module has been oversized to remove particles and pollutants even in highly sedimented ponds. The XL Drum module is offered in both pump fed and gravity fed guises.
The Pump Fed XL Filter Drum features 5 water inlets for connection to submersed AquaMax Eco Expert pumps and the new Bitron Premium Ultraviolet Clarifiers. The XL Moving Bed Module utilises special biological filter media in the form of innovative Pond Pads which allow the settlement of beneficial ‘friendly’ bacteria, to assist in the breakdown of pond and fish waste. Sander Fresh Skim
The Fresh-Skim protein skimmer, is an extremely efficient fresh water protein skimmer due to their large volume. As the proteins are directly removed from the water column, the filter system will have a significantly lighter job to do. The biological load of the water will be lower, besides the fact that the air bubbles will increase the oxygen level of the water. This will aid both fish growth as well as water clarity. The recommended flow is based on a contact time of at least 1 minute which makes the Fresh-Skim also qualified as a safe ozone reactor. When ozone is used we recommend the use of a residual ozone destroyer for the air outlet to prevent the release of ozone in the air. There are 2 options for mounting the redox electrode into the pipe system: in between the pump and the skimmer (before the ozone dosing), or in the return pipe from the skimmer (after the ozone dosing), or better, using both. Bigger skimmers are available on demand. The ceramic air diffusers should be replaced yearly to maintain maximum efficiency. The skimmer should be fed with pre-filtered water (i.e. after a sieve- or drum filter) and the water should return to the pond freely by gravity, without any head pressure.

The SuperSieve Pump Fed system offers a straightforward solution for removing larger particles of dirt (over 0.2 mm) from pond water. Specifically designed for ponds where the pump resides within the pond itself, this system efficiently filters dirty water before it reaches a biological filter.
At the heart of the SuperSieve Pump is its specialized industrial curved screens. These screens consist of razor-sharp triangular rods angled in relation to each other, incorporating a precise 300-micron (0.3 mm) slit. As water flows against the sharp edges of the triangles, surface tension is broken, allowing dirt particles to be pushed away from the screen and lifted out of the water.
